Alabama to Hold Special Election

Gov. Ivey has called for a special election in House District 13 to replace former Rep. Matt Woods. Woods resigned his seat when he was elected to the Alabama Senate. The special primary election is set for September 30, with a runoff scheduled for October 28. The special general election is set for January 13, 2026.
